李剑平，男，陕西省安康市人。毕业于中国美术学院（浙江美术学院）。中国美术家协会会员、中国版画家协会会员、陕西省美术家协会副主席、陕西省版画艺术委员会副主任，安康市文学艺术界联合会副主席、政协安康市第一届委员会委员、安康市美术家协会主席、安康市群众艺术馆副研究馆员。中国美术家协会第七次全国代表大会代表、第十一届全国美展陕西版画作品评委。作品《毕加索之夏》入选“全国插图艺术展”；《过去的故事》入选“第12届全国版画展”，作品入编作品集并被深圳美术馆收藏；《陕南小镇》入选“第13届全国版画展”，作品入编作品集并被江苏美术馆收藏。《秦蜀边镇》1999年被四川省美术馆，版画博物馆收藏。《秦蜀边镇》2000年入选“全国群星奖”并获陕西省群星美展一等奖。《过去的故事》《陕南小镇》2001年应邀参加“陕西美术名家作品陈列展”。论文《儿童思维与美术教育》获台北市立美术馆“国际学术论文双年赛优选奖”。辅导的儿童画多次荣获奖次。曾获马其顿、西班牙、日本、台湾国际儿童画展特别大奖和金奖。1996年获文化部中国展览交流中心、中国少儿造型艺术学会授予“优秀指导、组织奖”。1999年6月获得中国少儿艺术促进会主办的“祖国您好”全国少儿艺术展辅导银奖。2003年获得国家教育部艺委会、中国美协少儿美术艺委会授予的“成就未来”希望奖”。个人曾入编《中国美术家人名辞典》《中国现代美术家人名辞典》《世界名人录》（中文版）《中国美术家协会网》《世界人物辞海》网络版第八版。
